Janiva Magness is a serious powerhouse blues singer, and for proof, look no further than the five 2013 Blues Music Awards she’s nominated for, including the B.B. King Entertainer of the Year award. Her latest album, Stronger For it, includes her first self-penned songs, as well as covers of artists like Tom Waits, Buddy and Julie Miller and Shelby Lynne.
